Research Data Management

in Transregio 241

At Transregio 241, we place great importance on structured and transparent handling of research data. We ensure that all data generated within our projects are effectively managed, stored, and made accessible for future use. Our research data management focuses on the following key areas:

  • Data quality and integrity: We guarantee that all data are collected and processed according to the highest scientific standards, including regular quality checks and the application of best practices in data collection.
  • Data archiving and security: All research data are stored long-term to ensure reusability. We use secure and sustainable storage solutions supported by the IT infrastructure of the University Hospital Erlangen and the Regional Computing Center Erlangen (RRZE).
  • Accessibility and FAIR principles: Our data are managed according to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) to ensure accessibility and usability for the scientific community.
  • Data management planning: A detailed data management plan (DMP) is created at the start of each project, covering all aspects of data collection, processing, and utilization.
  • Training and support: We offer regular training and support for all researchers in data management to ensure compliance with best practices and ethical standards.

Through these measures, we promote not only the quality and reusability of our research data but also contribute to the transparency and reproducibility of scientific results.
