Das mesenteriale Fettgewebe – eine immunologische Barriere beim Morbus Crohn?
Projektzusammenfassung
Kriechendes Fett stellt einen krankheitscharakteristischen Befund bei Morbus Crohn dar, aber sein Einfluss auf die Darmentzündung und die Funktion der epithelialen Barriere ist unbekannt. In diesem Projekt soll definiert werden, wie intestinale Barrieredefekte die Homöostase des Mesenterialfetts formen, wie diese Veränderungen zu einer alternativen Darmbarriere führen und wie Kriechfett die epitheliale Resistenz sowie die Zusammensetzung und Immunität der intestinalen Immunzellen moduliert. Ein fettabbauendes Mausmodell wird dazu dienen, diese Fragen zu beantworten, und die Daten werden anschließend mit den Ergebnissen einer Patientenkohorte mit Morbus Crohn korreliert.
